Background
This province is located on the mountain chain that borders Altiplano on the east. It is a very arid and poor region. The main resources are copper deposits, sheep farming, and potato cultures. Bolivia has large mineral resources in its western part. A copper mine is operated by the company Mina Rojo in the province.
The small town of Uma Marca is the capital of the province. It is an old mining town. Icoya is a small isolated village raising llama herds. Banado, once a mining village, is now a religious center for the Santa Muerte.
After settling by force in Bolivia, the Santa Blanca decided to use less violent means to control the population. The latter being very religious and simultaneously practicing shamanism and Catholicism, the cartel decided to use its own religion in order to influence it. Once they are followers of the Santa Muerte, they are easier to control. The priests of the Santa Muerte travel in the provinces subject to Santa Blanca and preach the holy word to Bolivians.
To support this conversion campaign, Santa Blanca started in the province of Malca a large cathedral construction dedicated to the Santa Muerte. A seminary complements the cathedral and it hosts Mexican and Bolivian youth looking to discover the cult. The site has been entrusted to El Chido.
Some of the population worship the Santa Muerte today while still practicing shamanism and Catholicism. However many people remain hostile to this morbid cult and await the coming of the Rebellion to burn these buildings.
Altars at intersections, banners in villages, and small chapels in the country in honor of the Santa Muerte make it look like the Vatican of the Santa Muerte.
